UHS Establishes STS Member Intranet Web Site

Apollo, Pennsylvania – March 1, 2001:  Universal Health Systems Launches A Secure E-commerce Web Application for STS Dental Insurance and the STS Healthcare Discount program administered by Universal exclusively for STS members.

Universal developed a website module providing online benefit purchases for members of  STS.  Traditionally sold through the mail and over the telephone STS members may now use the online feature to purchase the health care benefits through Universal’s e-commerce application at  www.dentalquotes.com/STS.

Universal Health Systems (UHS) designs and administers employee benefit programs for employers and large associations.  UHS has been working on the DentalQuotes.com project for six months.   "Online Benefit Delivery is the wave of the future, said Mark L. Shaffer, VP of marketing.  As we develop these new systems of product delivery it places UHS on the forefront of supplying a new online consumer,” he said.

Avon Renews Contract for 7th Consecutive Year

Apollo, Pennsylvania - November 2, 2000:  New York based cosmetic giant Avon renewed their contract with UHS for the seventh straight year.  UHS has supplied health care discount benefits and more recently personal dental insurance to Avon Representatives since 1995.

Universal Acquires VisionQuotes.com

Apollo, Pennsylvania – January 9, 2000:  Universal Health Systems secures new domain name - VisionQuotes.com.

The company plans to establish an E-commerce site for individuals and families who cannot secure vision insurance on their own.  "VisionQuotes.com will be set up in similar fashion to the DentalQuotes.com site.  Our goal is to create a market for every single person in the United States to purchase vision insurance, should they desire to do so," said Mark Shaffer, vice president of marketing.

STS Selects Universal Health Systems To Provide Member Benefits

Apollo, Pennsylvania - December 1, 1999:  The Service Technicians Society, a division of the Society of Automobile Engineers headquartered in Warrendale, Pennsylvania recently contract UHS to provide and administer a variety of member benefits.

"UHS will provide a myriad of benefits including Prescription Drug, Dental, and Vision benefits to STS members across the nation.  We hope to have the program in place by January 1, 2000," said Carla Stewart, manager of benefits administration.  STS members are expected to have private member access to Universal's e-commerce application website by the 2nd quarter of 2000.  The Service Technicians Society is a national organization with approximately 7,000 members and growing rapidly.
